Manhattan publicist Melissa Cusick's 40-pound dog Matilda after being attacked at Glencadia Dog Camp in Columbia County. The pooch died as her hysterical owner was taking her to a vet.

At least two dogs have died while being boarded at the Glencadia kennels.

Glencadia Dog Camp owner Will Pflaum, who owns the camp, said he is sorry for what occurred … there have been other instances in the past where dogs at the camp bit each other.

Legal costs for the town’s dispute with the Glencadia Dog Camp are to blame for a more than $80,000 shortfall in the 2012 town budget.
